There are quite a few different USB Programming Cables out there for the Quansheng UVK5, K6 and UV5R Plus. If you don’t have the cable you are missing out on one of the best things about the Quansheng UV K range. That is, it’s ability to be upgraded with better software. I will always recommend Egzumer, as in my opinion it is the best and easiest to install for beginners. There are many other firmware’s of course, such as IJV mod and others, but if your just getting started go with Egzumer. It has the flash from browser option available making it so easy to install onto your radio.

I would recommend the programming cable from Baofeng for the Quansheng UV K5 [8 / 99], K6 and UV5R+. It’s the one I use with my Quansheng radios and it works great, never had a problem with it. Of course it also works with all the similar radios from Baofeng like the Baofeng UV 5R, BF-888S BF-888S EX, 5RX3, 3RPlus, H777, BF-F8HP, 5RA and 5RE. But do note: it doesn’t work with other Baofeng models, such as the DMR DM 1701. That requires a different cable. But for all the mentioned Quansheng and Baofeng models, this cable is perfect. Works well with CHIRP also. Available to buy from many places online including Amazon and AliExpress.
