This version 3 orange Quansheng K5 (88) is fairly similar to the updated green Quansheng UV-K6. Both models are bright in colour and hard to misplace. Great for emergencies, outdoor activities, hiking, camping etc. Or just  another Quansheng colour to add to your collection. But this orange K5-88 is a bit better than the green upgraded K6 . It has 2MB of internal memory vs the 512KB that’s in the green K6. The orange K5-88 does not have the little protective piece of plastic to the side of the volume knob. Some people prefer this while others think it makes the radio more prone to accidentally being switched on. I tend to agree with the latter. Although I do think it looks better.

Being a version 3, this Quansheng K5 (88) is perfect for modifying with aftermarket software like F4HWN. This is a great two-way radio out the box with stock software, but with F4HWN installed, this radio is amazing for the price. You can find it for sale on the Quansheng store at the link above. Be careful if you only want the 2MB model. There are a few orange Quansheng K’s, one being the Pro model. It looks identical to this one but only has 512KB memory.
