The long awaited Radtel RT-950 Pro has graced the west with its presence, and lots of people are doing their research on this radio, contemplating whether they should buy it or not. Well, it is a very nice radio, very capable. But there is a lot of competition out there, with quite a few radios [honourable mention for the cheaper Bajeton BJ-9000] which basically has the same spec as the 950 Pro. And is the Radtel 950 Pro’s father. So ultimately its personal preference as to which one you go with.

Below there is a video of the Radtel RT-950 Pro with a 27MHz telescopic antenna searching through the CB bands in various modes. I think it receives well. Although its certainly not perfect. It has triple watch mode, which basically means the user can listen / monitor up to 3 channels at once. It can receive CB signals on both the HF chip and the normal RX chip. Slightly off-topic. But look how nice the screen is outdoors. Very clear and easy to see. Anyway, check out the video below and see what you think of the radio on CB frequencies.

Great review! The RT-950 Pro looks like a solid contender, especially with that clear screen for outdoor use. I’ve been researching its RX chip performance compared to the BJ-9000 you mentioned. Since I’m planning to order mine via AliExpress to Chile, I’ve been a bit paranoid about digital security and regional compliance standards for imported electronics lately. I even came across some technical compliance discussions regarding local encryption and data safety protocols for 2026. Do you think the firmware on these newer Radtel units has improved in terms of signal stability, or is it still prone to the same front-end overload issues as the previous versions when using a high-gain telescopic antenna?
