Well its been talked about for a long time and people could not wait for its release date. The highly anticipated Quansheng TK11(5) is now for sale. There are some reviews out there, and they are all positive. It’s a 10 watt dual receiver that covers from 0.153 to 1160MHz. The battery is big at 3000mAh. Modes: AM SSB [LSB + USB / shortwave / medium wave], CW and FM. And it also has a spectrum analyzer. Two antenna connections are present at the top. It comes complete with a normal high gain antenna, and a T-Shape antenna that covers the 0.153 to 18MHz frequency range. To buy one, or look at the full spec, it can be found here: Quansheng TK11.
The sleek and well built Quansheng TK11 Transceiver can transmit on the CB bands [27MHz]
Looks to be a great radio. As with all the Quansheng models I own, they are all really well made. Battery lives have all been great. And this one seems to be no exception. There’s also NOAA reports [For USA] and a USB-C charging port on the TK11. With all the features the TK11 has, it makes me think that the need to modify the radio with different firmware like has been done to all my other radios, such as the UV K5 (8), K6 and UV 5R Plus, is not needed at all with the TK11 / 5 or 8.
It basically gives you everything that firmware like Egzumer gives you and more straight out the box. By the looks of it the stock software has covered it all. Would have been great if Quansheng could have included some digital modes such as DMR. But oh well, can’t have it all. Maybe soon. I think the “5” in the model rather than the “8” means its the European model. So Quansheng TK11(5) is for the European market. The added video review goes through some of the features and options available, including power testing, CPS software, TX/RX Specifications, normal menus and the hidden menu. I find it interesting that some people call this model the UV-K7.
