If you want to use an antenna on your Quansheng that has a BNC connection, you will need an adapter. The BNC connection is a very common connector type on antennas. Particularly older scanner radio antenna’s. So, if you buy a BNC adapter the Quansheng then becomes compatible with all the old [and new] antennas that have a BNC connection. Adaptors are very simple to fit. Push it into the bottom of your antenna with a BNC connection and twist it so it locks into place. And that’s it. Just screw it onto your Quansheng and get scanning.

If you have a normal Quansheng K5 / K6 or UV-5R Plus radio [they have an SMA female connection] and want to use it with a BNC antenna, you will need an SMA female to BNC female connector type. If we use the picture above as a reference, you need to buy either number 2, 4 or 6. They are the same connection type, just different colours. Any one of those numbers will be fine. They work very well.
