Well, it is released and for sale. The long awaited Radtel RT-950 Pro transceiver with 3 PTT’s has received great user feedback so far. The feature rich 950 Pro has a great specification. 10 Watts of transmit power, 3 VFO’s, 3 PTT buttons, Bluetooth programming, GPS /APRS, USB charging, excellent colour screen [except outdoors in direct sunlight], fairly wide frequency range, VFO tuning encoder knob, airband, short wave, long wave, medium wave, HF, AM, FM, SSB, LSB, CW, USB, CB [TX/RX], HAM transmit / receive, nice signal strength meter etc. It’s a superb radio. Although one thing to note; transmitting in the CB bands is FM only.
Spurious emissions tests / harmonics were really good compared to other radios in the same price bracket on CB, 10-meters, 2-meters and 70-centimeters. Output power is a little bit lower than what the specification states, but almost all radios are. Overall, a really nice, well built, capable transceiver. While most people will probably go for the Radtel RT-950 Pro, there is another radio which is practically the same as this model that has also not long been released.
That radio is the Bajeton BJ-9000. Both are great radios. Although the Bajeton BJ-9000 can generally be purchased a bit cheaper than the 950 Pro. As an alternative to AliExpress, the Radtel-950 Pro can also be found on Amazon here [UK, USA, Canada etc].
