Great radio by Radtel. The RT-860 is well made and has many modes: cb/ssb/lw/sw/mw/hf/uhf/vhf/am. It’s generally looked at by many as the radio to buy if you can’t modify a Quansheng. This is considered the next, or one of the next best things. There are so many of these types of radios to choose from now coming out of China, but its quite hard to find an analogue radio that has loads more features than a modified Quansheng that’s worth buying.

I say that because they all promise a lot, with their huge spec lists, but when broken down many are basically the same as a Quansheng UV K5-8. Yes, they look a bit different, and some have a few more features, but are they really worth the upgrade. This one is the same. If I’m not mistaken, It actually has the same chip as the Quansheng K58. And when they are put head to head in terms of receive strength / quality, I could not see much difference at all. But Radtel RT-860 does have HF / shortwave, medium wave, etc. Anyway, please watch the video review above, where we also get a look deep inside the radio itself and see what its really made of.
